  3.                                         WELCOME TO THE MORE™ 3.1 TRIAL SIZE

MORE™ is the Macintosh program designed for people who need to write reports, prepare proposals, and make presentations.  With a single program you can move rapidly from conceptualizing an idea to organizing, planning and communicating it—whether it is a full-blown color presentation or a one-page action list.  In short, MORE is a program you can use every day to project a professional image in print and in person.

This disk contains all you need to discover the power of MORE.  It includes MORE™ 3.1 Trial Size, a limited version of MORE 3.1 which includes most of the features of the full-sized version.  It also contains a Quick Tour to guide you through learning the basics about MORE.  You'll be able experience MORE in action, but will not be able to save or spell check your work.  The Clipboard is enabled, so you can save you work to the Clipboard and paste it to the Scrapbook or another application.

  11. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  13. •   Macintosh Plus, Macintosh SE, Macintosh SE/30, or Macintosh II family of computers (Macintosh II, Macintosh IIx, Macintosh IIcx, Macintosh IIci, Macintosh IIfx), Macintosh Portable, PowerBooks and Quadra 700 and 900

  15. •   At least 1 MB (megabyte) of RAM (MORE automatically allocates one megabyte of RAM for the program)

  19. •   At least one 800K (kilobyte) floppy disk and a hard disk

  22. GETTING STARTED

  24. All the files you need for the Quick Tour are included with this trial size disk.  They've been compressed, so they take up less space on the floppy disk.  To use them, you must first extract them from the compressed archive and install them on your hard disk.

  26. To install the MORE™ 3.1 Trial Size files
  27.  
  28. (1)   Double-click the file "Install MORE™ 3.1 Trial Size".
  29.  
  30. A dialog box opens from which you can choose the destination for the extracted files.  Click on the Volume icon to change drives and use the scrolling list box to determine where you want the MORE™ Trial Size Folder to be placed when it's extracted.

  32. (2)    Click Extract.

  34. The Installation process should take less than a minute.  When the installation is finished, you're returned to the Finder.

  36. (3)   Locate the MORE™ Trial Size Folder and double-click to see its contents.

  38. The folder should contain (a) the MORE™ 3.1 Trial Size application, (b) MORE Help (3.1), (c) Trial Size Library, (d) Quick Tour Instructions (in two parts), (e) the Quick Tour file, and (f) the Instant Presentation Demo file.

If you want to see the Instant Presentation Demo, double-click that file icon.  The Instant Presentation Demo launches MORE  and walks you through a short demonstration of the layout template feature.  Navigate through the demo by clicking the appropriate buttons on the bottom of the dialog box and follow the instructions.

  42. If you want to explore the Quick Tour, print the Quick Tour Instructions file by double-clicking that icon and selecting Print from the File menu.  The instructions are approximately 25 pages long depending on your printer setup.  The tour takes about 30 minutes.
